I’m Clio Yun-su Davis, a game designer, writer, and cultural consultant working primarily in tabletop roleplaying games, LARP, and interactive fiction. I’m the co-designer of the card game Battle of the Boybands, published by Game and a Curry, and the author of The Fog Knows Your Name, published by Choice of Games. In the TTRPG world, I’ve contributed to games such as Kids on Bikes, Teens in Space, Magical Kitties Save the Day, Mutants and Masterminds, and Hearts of Wulin to name a few. As for LARPs, my game The Long Drive Back from Busan won the Golden Cobra Challenge award for Best Game that Incorporates Meaningful, Non-romantic Relationships in 2017, and my game The Truth About Eternity was featured at Fastaval 2019.
As a cultural consultant, I specialize in Asian and Asian American themes and settings, queerness, gender, and accessibility as related to chronic and invisible illnesses as well as learning disabilities.
I’m a graduate of the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. I also studied in the Undergraduate Film & Television program and minored in Game Design at Tisch.
